New Heights Fellowship Church began as Virginia Heights Baptist Church, with the original building being dedicated in September 1962. In 2013 the church council voted to rename Virginia Heights Baptist to New Heights Fellowship, as a dba. June of 2022 church council voted to incorporate the church and New Heights Fellowship, Inc. was formed.
New Heights Fellowship is very different from most churches, in that the facility does not merely support New Heights Fellowship Church and its ministerial activities. New Heights Fellowship is a campus ministry, which also includes Agape Consulting, LLC, Battlefield Church of Christ, Casa de Adoracion Familiar International, Making a Difference Bible Holiness Church and Saving Health Ministries. This organizational structure provides for a variety of church congregations and services to meet a variety of needs in the community.
The Neighborhood Academy, a pre-school, was formed by New Heights Fellowship, to provide for a Christ centered, affordable, quality learning organization, under the New Heights Fellowship umbrella. Neighborhood Academy will provide a pre-school program for ages 3 years through pre-kindergarten. Once the pre-school is in operation, Neighborhood Academy will also be developing a Summer Day Camp Program, as well as a Before and After School Program.
